Web Developer (Information Technology)

About the Position

Group 1001 is seeking a Web Developer to serve as part of a shared services application development team supporting the company's Corporate Communications team, as well as developing internal web-based business applications. This position will work closely with the Corporate Communications team to determine goals and requirements for new web sites, as well as continuous updates to existing web properties. This position is responsible for eliciting web site goals from stakeholder, developing prototypes to confirm the requirements, and delivering a finished web site to our production environment. This position will work closely with other members of the development team including UI/UX designers and senior developers. This position is based in our Zionsville, Indiana office.

Specific Responsibilities Include

  • Design prototypes using static HTML and JavaScript.
  • Develop Single Page Web Applications (SPA) using HTML, JavaScript, Angular, and the Contentful content management system.

Skills & Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree in information management, computer sciences or technically related area
  • 2+ years of experience with front-end web development using HTML and JavaScript
  • Experience writing Single Page Web Applications using a framework such as Angular, React, or Vue.js
  • Excellent oral, written, and listening and ability to clearly articulate complex technical information to others
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and solve problems and issues of all types
  • Experience with Contentful content management system is a plus
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment with Scrum is a plus
