Job Description

Veolia Water Technologies Dayton is currently seeking an Account Manager for the AquaService group to work in the United States southeast.

This position is very important to VWT and is the critical leadership role within AquaService. The Account Manager's primary responsibilities include: Managing client business relationships, Managing the VWT personnel working at the site, Ensuring VWT's contract deliverables are being met, Utilizing resources to maximize effectiveness & profitability, Expanding Veolia's business within client accounts, Selling new AquaService accounts and cross-selling opportunities for other VWT Dayton and VWT / VNA services to clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with client leadership built on honesty, integrity, and trust.

  • Manage (Lead) VWT operations personnel working in his / her client base

  • Approve working hours, vacation hours and sick time hours for each of his / her employees

  • Ensure that the VWT Cell Phone / Electronics policy is being followed

  • Ensure compliance of operators to all of VWT's policies

  • Manage the schedule of his / her employees and coordinate the service hours required by other VWT personnel to ensure each client is receiving the service coverage required by the contract

  • Ensure each facility is in compliance with the client's environmental & safety regulations

  • Provide a minimum of 1 Employee Review per year to detail the employee's performance and areas of improvement

  • Manage the client-Veolia relationship and manage activities of VWT & VNA as the Primary Contact for any new project opportunities

  • Schedule, create and manage Annual Reviews for each of his / her accounts

  • Identify new business opportunities for Veolia within the client accounts and manage the process of incorporating other Veolia personnel in the business opportunity

  • Know the details of each client contract and ensure that VWT is complying with it and that VWT is not providing extra services without being paid by the client

  • Responsible for accurate record keeping of all client data in compliance with our contractual obligations

  • Ensure VWT AquaService employees are always in compliance with all client safety training requirements and all client site safety regulations

  • Place orders for Hydrex chemicals or other commodity materials per our agreement with the client

  • Ensure the accuracy of all VWT data to be provided to client

  • Write concise and well-formatted reports to the client in accordance with our contract requirements

  • Responsible for ensuring that client personnel which operate in coordination with VWT Dayton operations personnel have the proper operating procedures for water / wastewater treatment equipment.

  • Troubleshoot problems within client's water / wastewater treatment equipment and coordinate repairs as necessary.

  • Coordinate with his leadership for appropriate staffing needs

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Management, Biology or related field.

  • Minimum - An Operator License in any US state

  • Computer literate that is comfortable using Microsoft, Apple or Google operating systems and all associated programs

  • Strong writing, presentation and communication skills

  • A good listener with an inquisitive nature

  • An "out of the box" thinker with a strong ability to use intellect, experience, engineering training and humbleness to address / resolve complex problems

  • 5 - 7 years of operations-related work experience.
