Title: Commercial & Government Market Account Manager

Reports to: Director of Account Management

Type: Salary/Exempt

Primary Role: The Account Manager maintains and expands relationships with current customers. The Account Manager is an integral part of the territory sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives. Responsibilities:

  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Responsible for making sure the agreement services get performed at the assigned facilities.
  • Responsible for making sure the correct software licenses and counts are being ordered for an account.
  • Responsible for data entry into SMA Master Log in Smartsheet's and ET.
  • Keep agreements with software fees current and meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
  • Utilize Sales Tools that include Dealer Portals, ET and Smartsheet's data.
  • Other duties as required or assigned by company management.

  • Qualifications: The Commercial & Government Account Manager shall possess a two-year technical degree or equivalent combination of education and related field experience. Should possess a working knowledge and understanding of commercial communications, access control and security systems. Must have fundamental knowledge of intercom/telephone, access control, CCTV, AV control, fire alarm and other integration systems with advanced knowledge of service requirements.

    Travel: Travel to customer and vendor sites is required.

  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized.
  • Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skillset; ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.
  • Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations.
  • Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation.
  • Valid and current driver's license.

  • Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements:
  • Employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit and use hands and fingers.
  • Some light lifting of objects is required.
  • Reaching, grasping and carrying activities are also required.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
