Reports to:  Internal Audit Manager

Location: Salt Lake City - Hybrid

As an internal auditor, you will provide both management and the audit committee with objective, independent appraisals of the company’s operations and controls. This role will also maintain financial oversight and execute accounting processes related to various areas of the business.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform monthly accounting duties in select areas such as fixed assets, travel expenditures, and vendor royalty payments. Suggest process improvements to obtain increased efficiency or lower operating costs.
• Complete financial analysis and other ad-hoc requests as requested.
• Participate in semi-annual Sarbanes Oxley controls testing.
• Assist with the annual audit process and year-end audit work associated with annual financial statement preparation. 
• Coordinate with international or subsidiary offices to evaluate the adequacy of internal controls and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Conduct operational audits to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the Company’s operating procedures and methods. Suggest improvements to obtain increased efficiency or lower operating costs.
• Investigate fraud cases and develop control procedures to prevent future losses.  Work with legal counsel and law enforcement agencies to effect recovery and prosecution.

• BS/BA in Accounting, Business, or related field.
• Additional accounting/auditing experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills with MSOffice and must be exceptional with Excel.
• Exceptional people skills including written and verbal communication.
• Team player with a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
• Ability to execute assigned processes with a constant mindset of improvement and increased efficiency. 
• Ability to think outside of the box is desired for this role.
