Job Title: Accounting Manager (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Oakland,CA

Salary: $85,000 per year

Job Type: Part-Time (20-30 hours per week), transitioning to Full-Time upon hire

Job Description: The ideal candidate will have experience with Deltek Vision software and QuickBooks Online, with the ability to efficiently manage financial tasks and provide accurate reports. This position will initially be part-time, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role upon successful completion of the contract period.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the company's financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Maintain and reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Train and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role.
  • Proficiency with Deltek Vision software is required.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
