Accounts Receivable Specialist

Posting Summary:Proactively manage account receivables for externally funded sponsored research projects to support the university in maintaining appropriate cash flows. Monitor all outstanding sponsored project receivables in order to effectively and efficiently apply cash and wire receipts using the PeopleSoft Accounts Receivable module. Maintain an AR management and collections plan. Assist with accounting, analysis, and preparation of schedules for accounts receivable and deferred revenue. Prepare and distribute cash management reports including, but not limited to, AR Aging and Dunning letters.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related area and one to three years of related experience required, to include proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Experience with accounts receivable collections and effective written and oral communication skills required.
Desirable Qualifications:Experience in accounting and sponsored project administration is highly desirable. Experience with PeopleSoft ERP software highly desirable.
Anticipated Pay Range:$23 to $28/hour
Special Conditions:A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, A probationary period may be required, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
