UNT's Jazz Studies program is widely regarded as one of the nation's most respected and was the first-degree program of its kind in the field.

Our faculty members are dedicated teachers as well as nationally and internationally known performers. They've earned Grammy Award nominations, toured internationally, conducted classes at the renowned Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshops, and written books about jazz.
We provide you many opportunities to perform with on- and off-campus ensembles. This includes the One O'Clock Lab Band, which has earned six Grammy Award nominations and toured Europe, Japan, Thailand, and Australia. We also sponsor the acclaimed Jazz Singers.

The Department of Jazz Studies seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2023, Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

The anticipated need is for Digital Audio Production courses using Ableton Live software, Logic Pro, Pro Tools. Additional duties TBD if necessary. UNT Denton Campus

Professional production and performance experience using Ableton Live: Expertise and experience teaching digital audio: Master's degree in music.

Songwriting and composition background. Artist and performer of national and/or international notoriety.
