ECS is seeking an Application Packager to work in our Remote office.

Job Description:

ECS has an exciting opportunity for a software engineer/software application packager to work for a large Government agency on ongoing software management (discovery, packaging, testing, QA, UAT, then deployment). This job requires someone with prior hands-on experience performing the tasks listed below on a medium to large team of software engineers. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the large enterprise, strictly adherent to governmental security policies and able to hit the ground running.

Salary Range: $90,000-$150,000

General Description of Benefits

Required Skills:

• More than five years demonstrated performance in software integration.
• Demonstrated performance in supporting business software applications and knowledge of industry best practices.
• Expert skill in troubleshooting and problem resolution, ability to outline cause of the issue as well as document full resolution steps.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with silent application installation, support, compatibility, and deployment in the Windows Desktop OS.
• Experience managing and configuring Microsoft Windows 10, including:
• Registry - 32 and 64-bit,
• Permissions (ACLs) for files, folders, and registry keys
• Environment variables, both per-user and per-computer
• Active Directory policies and other settings
• Intermediate to advanced expertise in WiseScript (from AdminStudio, and/or Wise Package Studio).
• Expert in scripting languages like PowerShell, VBScript, batch.
• Expertise with leading software packaging and installation technologies:
• InstallShield and/or AdminStudio
• Microsoft Windows Installer
• ORCA
• Ability to collaborate with testing, security, and deployment teams to facilitate effective issue resolution.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in modern programming languages (VB.Net, C#, C++)
