BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Application Security Analyst in Irving, TXTitle: Application Security AnalystLocation: Irving, TX (Hybrid)Anticipated Duration: 12+ Months The primary focus of this role is to liaise with our internal clients who are seeking vulnerability assessment services with our external pen-testing vendors and assess the security posture of third-party vendors. This role also requires someone with strong organizational and management skills to maintain vendor relationships with a focus around application security testing. Core responsibilities include:Lead external vulnerability assessment engagements for our internal clients and ensure that they are executed by external vendors within the required timeframe following testing methodologies and processes.Conduct third party (SaaS) vendor report reviews against procedures and reporting guidelines to assess their security posture.Review the maturity of existing external ethical hack vendors providing services to.Evaluate industry leading pen-testing vendors and onboard them into.Act as an application security subject matter expert to assist both businesses and ethical hack vendors during vulnerability discussions.Have excellent communication skills in order to effectively set expectations to our internal clients and ensure that they have a clear understanding of respective roles/responsibilities.Possess strong technical writing and presentation skills to articulate the vulnerability assessment process end-to-end to any audience.Work with development teams to prioritize the remediation of critical vulnerabilitiesContribute to the review of internal processes and activities and assist in identifying potential opportunities for improvement and automation. This position requires a bachelors degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Information Security field. Prior application security testing experience is a plus. Rafi Shaik
