CohnReznick currently has an exciting career opportunity in our IT Support Services department. We are looking for a dynamic Application Support Specialist to join CohnReznick's Information Technology team in our Los Angeles or Chicago locations.

The IT Application Support Specialist will be primarily responsible for providing second level support for firm facing front and back-office applications. In this capacity, this individual will be responsible for providing exceptional support to CohnReznick's end-user community. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 7:00pm, including weekend support during Jan-April tax season. This role will be focused on the top core Business applications. This position is to support our west coast core business hours of 8:30-5:00pm PST.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to the ITSM processes in responding to CR IT Service Desk requests and incidents.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve simple to complex incidents associated with firm applications, with a focus on the top core business applications that serve most of our user base.
  • Functions as liaison between end-users and IT for application systems.
  • Coordinate with SME's and/or Application owners (Tier 3) teams to escalate issues if they cannot be resolved in Tiers 1 or 2.
  • Participate in identifying and reporting trending application issues to drive a cycle of continuous improvement.
  • Flexible thinker who solves problems with both linear and non-linear approaches.
  • Exceptional customer service aptitude.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and respond with a sense of urgency.
  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in written form to all levels of Firm staff.
  • Capable of working independently, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Work in an effective, consistent manner, maintaining quality assurance and compliance with established directives, policy, and best practices.
  • Ability to identify and document fixes for knowledge base articles.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or related technical certifications, or equivalent demonstrable technical experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Information Technology system/applications support.
  • Strong analytic skills and ability to apply critical thinking and a methodical approach to problem identification and resolution.
  • Experience supporting and managing business applications.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • High attention to detail, process oriented, and ability to understand business and technology impact.
  • Strong sense of ownership and thoroughness, with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
