Job Description
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman has an immediate opening for a mid-level litigation associate with 2 to 4 years of construction litigation experience. Resident in the firm's Washington DC office, the ideal candidate will have prior construction litigation experience handling acting for owners and general contractors. An engineering and/or an architectural background is also desirable. Familiarity with document management in complex litigation, arbitration experience and brief writing and oral presentation are important skills.
It is required that the candidate have a bachelor's degree and a juris doctorate degree (JD) from an accredited law school. Excellent academic performance is highly valued. The candidate should be a member or eligible to become a member of the District of Columbia Bar. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong analytical skills, and knowledge of ethics and conduct codes which are a requirement for the proper and legal practice of the law.
