POSITION PURPOSE:
As a member of the Internal Audit Team, the Associate Internal Auditor has the responsibility to support the internal audit department in its scope to deliver assurance to management by providing independent audits and assessments. This includes assessments of business risk, regulatory compliance, internal control, and efficiency/adequacy of business processes to ensure financial data integrity and provide value-added recommendations to management. The Associate Internal Auditor will be responsible for supporting department goals, project deliverables, and special projects.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
This position is reserved for a highly motivated and experienced individual demonstrating the potential for leadership responsibilities as well as strong technical, financial, and operational competence. To be effective, the Associate Internal Auditor must possess strong organizational abilities.



Experience
* A minimum of 1 to 3 years experience in audit (finance/operations) or quality assurance in manufacturing.
* General knowledge of manufacturing/operational audit requirements and the regulatory requirements related to OSHA
* Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience
* Familiarity with audit work programs



Education
* Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, General Business, or related discipline.



Skills
* Ability to actively lead oneself, pro-actively taking initiatives to deliver set goals and objectives
* Ability to recognize and communicate control and operational weaknesses
* Ability to assess materiality/impact of weaknesses and propose recommendations/improvements
* Communicate clearly and effectively to influence team members and auditees.
* Strong technical proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Ensure audit assignments are delivered on time and within budget.
* Lead assigned audit areas to high-quality standards.
* Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements.
* Liaise and work with auditees, considering their feedback and concerns.
* Develop enhancing relationships with auditees and local management.
* With guidance, plan and execute audit procedures agreed upon by the team.
* Execute high-quality fieldwork using appropriate audit techniques.
* Actively plan to ensure all documentation and deliverables are available before the audit.
* Develop, present, and document audit findings.
* Prepare key sections of the audit reports.
* Ensure fully documented working papers are prepared, demonstrating the audit steps taken and conclusions found.
* Ensure outstanding audit points are actively followed up.
* Attend and participate in planning, opening, and closing meetings/calls.



SCOPE & EXPECTATIONS:
* This position report to the Internal Audit Manager
* This position is remote but will require periodic trips to Corporate (Winchester, VA)
* Travel 20-30% as the business requires.
