This position supports our healthcare professional liability line of business. Team members are primarily hybrid in Austin TX or Okemos MI, but we will consider candidates to be fully remote or hybrid in other locations in the continental US.

Job Summary:

The Associate Marketing Communications Coordinator is a copywriter and editor for the ProAssurance Marketing Department. The position supports the Director of Creative Services and Brand Management by efficiently developing written content for strategic marketing and sales initiatives designed to create brand awareness and improve customer sentiment for ProAssurance. This position coordinates the messaging approach of marketing content to clarify and leverage product information for persuasive sales and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented copywriter able to coordinate and drive multi-level approvals to completion in a fast-paced environment. Projects include contributing copywriting for agent newsletters, website content, point of sale marketing materials, trade articles, and writing for email marketing, social media, and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

55% - Research and develop marketing content:

• Research, copywrites, edits, and proofs targeted content for internal and external stakeholder communications in accordance with the ProAssurance editorial calendar and known business cycles. Makes suggestions to organize projects around editorial themes when possible.
• Interviews internal professionals in specialty insurance claims, liability, sales, risk management, and corporate communications to develop thought leadership and marketing content.
• Develops marketing content for social media, video, and website.
• Assists in coordinating work produced by external writers (freelance writers, contractors, and other guest contributors) to coordinate production of department publications.
• Studies and shares industry knowledge to ensure accurate communication regarding insurance trends and product details.
• Contributes to cataloging of competitor communications as well as collecting links, whitepapers, and other sources on key insurance or marketing topics for easy access.

45% - Administrative Support:

• Updates marketing content for direct mail, agent newsletters, and point-of-sale pieces.
• Coordinates content workflow. Oversees, requests, tracks project status to ensure all jobs are accounted for and are being managed to desired outcome.
• Edit and repurpose content to create articles for use in external publications, white papers, and marketing content.
• Develops production schedules for all assigned projects to establish and meet deadlines.
• Assists in the management of ProAssurance style guide and brand guidelines, keeping preferences and rules up to date by revising, developing, and documenting restrictions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in copywriting or related field of marketing content development required.
• Previous experience in marketing content development/copywriting/editing preferred.
• Deadline driven with superb written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, familiarity with Outlook and Adobe products a plus.
• Detail-oriented/self-starter, able to solve problems while working toward solutions without constant supervision.
• Ability to travel 2 to 3 times per year for marketing activities.
