Job Description Summary

The Associate Settlement Analyst is responsible for timely validation and accurate reconciliation of trade claims in Lamb Weston ERP system or trade promotion management tool based on established sales contracts in alignment with department SOX controls.

In this role you will support all business units and departments enterprise wide overseeing specific strategic customers. It is important that there is a consistent relationship with all customers for ease of processing.

Job Description

  • Execution of trade rebate claims can include manual entry of claims or ensuring electronically sent claims have system exceptions resolved and feeding accurately into Lamb Weston's ERP system.
  • Validate trade/rebate claims in trade promotion management tool against valid contracts and promotions. This includes heavy audits of double dips and duplicated invoices for repayment by customers.
  • Review and resolve exception reporting for contract system download and trade claim system errors in compliance with SOX controls.
  • Accurate and timely communication of Operator Programs to distributors.
  • Collect back up on customer portal, Bank portal, group mailbox, workflow, and other deduction data sources to complete deduction information.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for missing information required to validate the deductions (Sales, BU Finance, Customer Operations and Credit).
  • For valid claims and uncashed checks, work with accounts payable for processing and resolution.
  • Responsible for coordination of new customer ACH setup as outlined in the Vendor Database Management Policy with sales and customer.
  • Adhere to KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) for claim processing by managing a specific dollars, days, and quantity threshold. Expectation is to process all claims timely before month end report outs.
  • Follow SOX audit compliance to ensure accuracy when reviewing, processing, and exercising independent decisions on matters that affect the business.
  • Monthly touch points with customers on optimization, timely claims, trends, and any other relevant topics or concerns. It is important that there is a consistent relationship with all customers for ease of processing.
  • Other Duties as assigned to support the business.


    Basic & Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
    • 1-3 years accounts receivable, credit, collections and/or trade or non-trade deduction resolution experience required.
    • Research, strong problem-solving, mathematical, and analytical skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Proficiency with MS Office required
    • Ability to quickly learn and utilize multiple systems and draw appropriate conclusions.
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Ability to work independently and as a team player, be organized, and plan ahead
    • Ability to work Pacific Time Zone work schedules

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate's work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $45,560.00 - $68,340.00
