Nature of Work
Serves Customers byservicing controls systems and products. Sets up, commissions, and services lowvoltage HVAC Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems on commercial and industrialbuildings.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Support installation personnel on project sites.
  • Provide information and support for other contractors on project site.
  • Provide start up documentation including daily logs, check out logs, commissioning documents, etc. as required for assigned projects.
  • Assist in preparing of submittal documents, As-built drawings and operation & maintenance Manuals.
  • Assist in turnover of projects from Operations team to Service team.
  • Assist Sales team during estimating phase including potential product or system demonstrations.
  • Travel to jobs within service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are promptly communicated.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • Build positive relationships with customers
  • Exerciseinitiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of theorganization.

Essential Qualifications

  • Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner
  • A clear ability to work with electrical equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, etc.
  • The ability to troubleshoot basic electric circuitry including reading and interpreting electrical, control, and special system diagrams
  • A working understanding of low and high voltage AC circuitry including transformers, fuses, breakers, multi-phase power, etc.
  • An understanding of the construction industry including safety, electrical codes, etc.
  • Knowledge in one or all of the following building control systems - Tridium, Honeywell Spyder, Alerton, and Distech
  • The ability to configure and debug computer and networking problems
  • Experience with programming
  • An ability to understand empathetically the issues and perceptions others have and to creatively and successfully work through these issues to achieve a successful outcome and customer and employee satisfaction
  • A thorough understanding of HVAC operations within a facility if working in the controls field
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to understand and implement best practice standards
  • Ability to quickly and effectively solve complex problems
  • Ability to deliver quality through attention to detail

  • Proficiency in all company utilized software including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to build relationships with team members that transcend a project
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internallyand externally

Education

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED
  • Current enrollment in a two-year technical degreeor qualified apprenticeship program in HVAC or Electronics related studiespreferred.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • Able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, material, etc.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Able to spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites.
  • Able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site.
  • Be physically able to kneel, stoop and crawl.
  • Safety-sensitive position that requires extreme focus and attention to safety hazards and safety protocols.
