Summary:

Generate and process revenue in a timely and accurate manner for Department of Defense (DOD) and General Services Administration (GSA) shipments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Tariff level billing in order to service government accounts

Process and distribute revenue

Review documentation for accuracy before processing for billing

Manage workflow in a timely manner

Trace and obtain missing documentation and approvals

Handle DPS issues

Respond to inquiries regarding invoice issues

Responsible for updating GMMS with accurate information

Resolve any issues related to delays in payment of invoice

Monitor bottom line and promptly report any issues for payables to resolve

Monitor accrued reports on a monthly basis

Monitor billable expense report on a monthly basis

Ability to understand and interpret client and agent contracts, rates schedules and tariffs (International tariff, 400NG tariff and GSA tariff)

Maintain appropriate billing days and percentages aged according to corporate guidelines

Job Skills Required:

Billing/Auditing previous experience preferred

Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to calculate percentages and discounts

Knowledge of Excel and Word

Excellent organization and communication skills

Detail oriented with strong follow through

Must be flexible and able to accurately multi-task in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment

Understand the value of team-work

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required; one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience billing contracts, tariffs and/or rate schedules

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
