The Billing and Collections Specialist will manage the complete revenue cycle for our home-based primary care practice; functions include billing, collections, statements, refunds and accounts receivable maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Reviews superbills and processes charges daily for assigned payers or alpha split.
- Assures timely collection of unpaid claims from assigned payors.
- Process patient statements and collect responsible party balances.
- Assures accurate data entry of payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
- Communicates with internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner.
- Adheres to high standards of personal and professional conduct.
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional and compassionate communication and listening skills
- Well-developed organizational skills
- Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Collaborative team skills
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Minimum three-year healthcare billing and collections experience.
