Reports to: Managing Director, Central

Location: Anywhere in the US

To bring this vision to reality - we are fielding interest for a Business Development Partner to be part of our team.

As a Business Development Partner in Education, you will establish relationships with potential customers through research and communication, from first contact until you schedule a meeting with a Sales Executive. You will fully realize the prospect’s needs and determine how FranklinCovey can provide value. In turn, this will be presented to the prospect through a variety of methods.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Execute an on-going business development and brand awareness strategy for a list of target school districts and organizations utilizing assets and experiences created by marketing 
  • Research target school districts s, decision makers, and influencers to create prospecting strategies 
  • Build out accounts in Salesforce (CRM) with new leads and contacts to populate touchpoint campaigns  
  • Utilize a combination of calls, emails, social media, marketing, and automated systems to contact engaged prospects 
  • Schedule exploratory meetings between clients and Sales Executive to move opportunities forward 
  • Update and clean CRM database


  • Passionate about building relationships, helping people, and problem solving 
  • Ability to communicate complex information into easy-to-understand value based on a client’s specific needs 
  • Approaches work with curiosity and perseverance
  • Innovative and action-oriented 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with comfortability interacting with prospects via phone, chat, and other methods 
  • Energized by continual growth, both professionally and personally 

 

Preferred Experience

  • 0-3 years working in a business development, sales, marketing, or lead generation role, preferably in B2B, and/or K-12 environment 
  • Working with a CRM, preferably Salesforce  
  • Sales automation systems such as Outreach.io
