HORIBA Semiconductor's proprietary analysis technology is fully demonstrated in a wide range of fields - semiconductors, medicine, environment, science and engine measurements. Our North American Semiconductor group is searching for a Business Financial Analyst to support business operations by providing analysis and forecasting tools, budget, and business performance metrics to management at our R&D Technology Center in Reno, Nevada, minutes from the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting and operational metrics tracking.
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  • Analyze financial results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist in the administration of daily business/financial operations in assigned business segment
  • Analyze operational cost center spending and assist in budget planning.
  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization to assist in operational process to strengthen internal control of each department.
  • Assist in the inventory control and purchasing process for assigned segment. Assist the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
  • Identify and drive process improvement, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and dashboards.
  • Conduct comparable analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

3+ years of business finance and/or accounting experience with progressive responsibilities, especially with exposure to international operations and a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general and cost accounting principles and practices
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and data gathering competency
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
  • SAP FI/CO experience preferred
