Business Information Developer Consultant

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote & office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint office locations.

The Business Information Developer Consultant is responsible for developing and executing more complex data mining analyses.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Database Support & Design: Supporting database design with an ability to generate ad hoc reports and build automated jobs; should be conversant with various database technologies.
  • Accessing and managing data spread across multiple servers.
  • Writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Utilizing R for data analysis, statistics, and visualizations.
  • Process mapping to help visualize and streamline business processes, aiding continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support data output and corresponding analytical needs to assist with Payment Integrity processes.
  • Determines how decision support systems will provide the data required to make effective business decisions.
  • Performs modeling of information sources and flows.
  • May coordinate the activities of a project team and monitors project schedules and costs for own projects.
  • Develops strategic report applications from the Data Warehouse.
  • Establishes and maintains excellent knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, programming languages, and data integrity issues.
  • Develops and supports complex data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables.
  • Conducts training on use of applications developed.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 4 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Business Information tools and programming/query languages required.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities & Experiences:
  • Experience in robotic programming is a plus, especially with the ability to automate manual processes, improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Experience in server management software would be advantageous.
  • Strong experience with SQL (prefer 4+ years).
  • An in-depth understanding of the R programming language is highly preferred.
  • PC, spreadsheet, and database skills strongly preferred.
  • Prior Experience in Healthcare Industry is preferred.
