Loparex LLC is the world's largest manufacturer of extrusion base and silicone-coated release liners for the converting industry. We have facilities throughout the U.S., Europe, China, and India. Loparex is currently looking for a Buyer to join our team.

The Buyer is responsible for developing and executing the purchasing plan for raw materials at the different Loparex sites in the Americas region, ensuring availability of materials while maintaining appropriate levels of inventory.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform the company's day-to-day purchasing activities, making purchase decisions in accordance with company procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate material master system planning parameters, including MOQ, lead time, or BOM.
  • Prepare regular dashboards to highlight performance.
  • Manage and resolve disputes and expedites.
  • Collaborate with schedulers to ensure availability of raw materials to meet production schedule.
  • Conduct audits as necessary.
  • Keeps current with Loparex Supply Chain policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to extract and maximize value.
SECONDARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify and perform root-cause analyses and provide data-driven analyses, reports, and recommendations to solve complex problems and drive continuous improvement.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to measure performance.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of systems, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient processes and accurate documentation.
JOB SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in a related field (e.g. Supply Chain, Business or Technical field) or 4-6 years of equivalent buying work experience.
  • Minimum of three years of buying experience, preferably for a manufacturing company.
  • APICS or related professional certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Working proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office®. SAP preferred.
  • Highly organized with an ability to lead small project teams. Project management experience or exposure preferred.
  • Results oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills to lead cross-functional collaboration initiatives.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety for both oneself and coworkers.
  • Occasional travel required.
