What you will be doing:

The Buyer / Planner will be part of Drybar's supply chain team. This key role will be responsible for handling and executing all processes related to Drybar's supply planning, purchase order issuance, component planning, as well as work order processing with contract manufacturing partners. All work will be performed to meet Drybar and the Global Beauty team's supply chain and service-level objectives, with an emphasis on inventory targets and cost avoidance.

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Execute planning and purchasing activities with a predominate product portfolio comprised of Make items, including required components within the Bill of Materials.

  • Critically analyze and validate the MRP plan prior to issuing work orders and / or purchase orders to contract manufacturing partners and / or component suppliers.

  • Process and issue vital orders to applicable suppliers once approved. Complete all work order activities in the system to backflush components after production completes and scrap rates are evaluated.

  • Evaluate MRP plan and demand shifts to ensure supply plan meets demand requirements. Execute expedite and / or deferral requests with vendors to satisfy customer needs and inventory targets.

  • Conduct weekly calls to review open order reports, expedite / deferral requests, priorities, upcoming promotional / program-specific events, etc. Ensure information is accurately updated and included in a weekly report to Drybar internal partners.

  • Provide regular updates to internal partners on production activities to support new product launches and critical items.

  • Analyze marketing and sales events to ensure events take current lead times into consideration.

  • Complete PIM item set up workflow process for all new items, including Buy / Make Finished Good item types as well as Component item types.

  • Supervise and change item statuses to align with transition timing and item status definitions.

  • Maintain all planning and inventory attributes by-item to achieve inventory targets.

  • Recommend planning attribute adjustments to achieve optimum inventory levels based on forecast variability and / or vendor lead time changes.

  • Support cost avoidance projects to meet the company's initiatives and financial goals.

  • Conduct and provide regular analyses, reporting and background details to support Drybar's SIOP process and on an ad hoc basis.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Business, Mathematics, Statistics

  • 5+ years' experience in a Supply Planning role within CPG

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word

  • Experience using ERP and MRP solutions (in-depth knowledge of planning attributes and MRP planning processes)

  • Proven track record of achieving results in a fast-paced growth environment through analysis and collaboration with internal and external relationships

  • Supply chain and inventory management acumen and understanding

  • Excellent analytical, communication and time leadership skills

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Will also consider a combination of education and experience in the cosmetics or related FDA industry
