Your Role:MilliporeSigma has an opening for a Chemical Operator. In this the exciting opportunity you will use your manufacturing knowledge and experience to help advance a world of critical medical discoveries. Our ultra-filtration membranes make possible the development of next-generation vaccines, treatments, and therapies for a wide range of conditions - including COVID-19. If you're a self-motivated, detail-oriented Chemical Operator with a commitment to excellence and an unyielding dedication to safety.

Shift:Saturday-Monday 6:00am-6:00pm OR Friday-Sunday 6:00am-6:00pm

  • Mechanical equipment setup
  • Web & chemical handling
  • Move and handle materials on the floor
  • Adhere to operating, quality and safety standards
  • Operate programmable logic controller (PLC)
  • Prepare and process samples for in-process quality tests
  • Recommend improvements
  • Clean and maintain an organized work area

Physical Attributes:
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. individually
  • Stand, bend, and twist for a 12-hour shift

Who you are:

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of manufacturing operator experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A solid understanding and application of basic math skills
  • Knowledge of EH&S, ISO, cGMP, and other manufacturing regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience handling chemicals
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn multiple operations and tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communicate skills
  • Ability to work well independently while also being a positive contributor to a strong, cohesive team
  • Strong detail-oriented
  • Previous computer hardware/software experience
