About the Role:

Everest Global Services, Inc., a member of the Everest Re Group Ltd., is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Claim Assistant for our Reinsurance Claim Department. This position is part of a team responsible for the operational support of the Reinsurance Claim Department. The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain the critical internal controls applicable to Claim and to support the Claim Technical staff with the handling of claim files. This position will be based in our Warren, NJ Corporate US Headquarters on a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office/2 days remote).

Role & Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Receiving, indexing, and distribution of claim correspondence in all formats, including B2B applications and Natural Language Processing, to the appropriate parties
  • Processing payments and other financial transactions
  • Receiving new losses, verifying accuracy of information via coverage and completing data entry of initial file setup
  • Performing quality review analysis of claim data for accuracy in accordance with established procedures and internal controls
  • Document management and entering data in various reinsurance claim systems
  • Providing operational support to Claim management, Claim technical staff and our internal and external customers

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus
  • Work experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry is a plus
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to adjust priorities, meet deadlines, and successfully operate in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to follow through on and successfully execute tasks while adhering to specified quality standards
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are required
  • Proficiency in MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required
  • Familiarity with electronic document management applications (OnBase, SharePoint, etc.) is a plus
