Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Classroom Support Counselor in the SEBS program at Behavioral Health Network! Classroom Support Counselors provide social, behavioral, and academic support grounded in basic trauma-sensitive principles to students in their classrooms.
Learn, grow, accomplish: develop skills utilizing best practices to provide support for students to help them improve academically and socially at a middle school. Attend trainings on de-escalation strategies, trauma sensitive approaches, and have the opportunity to participate in outreach to families.
Program: an elementary school multidisciplinary team working within a social-emotional behavioral supportive classroom (SEBS).
Part of a collaborating team utilizing SEBS best practices, they provide sound and culturally sensitive consultation to school staff with the aim to support students' psychosocial skill-building with awareness and professionalism.
Additionally, Classroom Support Counselors provide telephone and in-home support and consultation to parents when needed. They participate in BHN and school-required trainings, as well as weekly team meetings at the school and supervision through BHN.
