Position Description :The Department of Health Informatics & Information Management (HIIM) at Texas State University invites applications for one non-tenure line faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. This is a full-time position beginning no later than Fall 2024 on the Round Rock Campus with a nine-month academic year appointment and possible summer employment.
Duties and Expectations:
As a member of the undergraduate faculty, assist faculty colleagues, the program director, and the department chair by coordinating curriculum updates and interfacing with other university and accrediting organizations. Teach HIM undergraduate courses on topics that may include health information technology and systems, health information statistics and research, data analytics, information governance, health information security, health care delivery systems, medical coding, legal aspects of HIM, health information services management, or other HIM specific content areas. Faculty members are expected to participate in curriculum review and development, assist with student advising, and participate in service activities at the department, college, university, and professional levels.
