We are a well-known, Minority and Veteran-Owned General Contractor headquartered in Chicago. Through the mentoring of our workers and the provision of employment and training opportunities for residents of the communities our firm serves, we are dedicated to creating individuals who will improve communities and live out our mission. We are looking to add an experienced Project Manager who can help lead teams working in a variety of fields including residential, education, aviation, healthcare, and transportation.
What You Will Be Doing As the Project Superintendent, you will collaborate with your team to supervise the entire on-site building process from start to finish. Establishing quality control processes, safety and security standards, monitoring the operations of subcontractors, suppliers, and corporate labor and material, and chairing weekly subcontractor coordination meetings are all essential job responsibilities.
What You Need for this Position - 3+ years of Construction Superintendent experience with a GC
- A history of successfully leading a team on ground-up and/or TI construction projects
- Ability to collaborate with clients, PMs, and other management teams to establish budgets and timelines
- Strong knowledge of on-site safety and security standards
- Proficiency with scheduling, delegating tasks, budgeting, and negotiating contracts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple tasks at once
- Excellent time-management and scheduling skills to complete tasks ahead of deadlines
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
