SUMMARY:

The Commodity Purchasing Intern will work in a variety of groups within the commodity purchasing group including feed ingredients, energy, margin management, system analytics, accounting, and sustainability. Our interns are expected to contribute to our success through reporting, innovative ideas, and value creation. Based on successful performance and the talent needs of our business, internships are intended to provide exposure to a real-life work environment. CPG Interns are expected to interact with all commodity functions to provide the opportunity to self-evaluate personal strengths and identify opportunities for further development.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university required. Students seeking a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Supply Chain, or Agriculture-related degree preferred.

Experience: Previous work experience of any kind is preferred.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively; excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Special Skills: A successful candidate for an Intern position should possess the following: Be a motivated self-starter who has the desire to learn from others; ability to work independently or as part of a team; strong problem-solving skills; time management and multi-tasking abilities; and strong interpersonal skills.
