Community Health Specialist-Temporary
Martha's Vineyard Hospital (MVH)

The Community Resource Specialist (CRS) is an integrative part of the Quality team at MVH. The role collaborates to enhance the delivery of patient care services along the continuum of care. The CRS meets patient's needs efficiently and expeditiously by continuously improving the patient's experience, helping to ensure the institutional standards of high quality patient care; reducing cost and ensuring reimbursement. The position requires a high degree of flexibility, independence, and willingness to participate in multiple activities and provide support to all members of the Quality team and project team. The CRS must have strong communication skills and the ability to converse comfortably with patients and their caregivers, practice staff and program staff and administration. The CRS will work with the Quality team to ensure enrolled patients are receiving the services they need to achieve an optimum quality of life.

Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in business or related field and/or sufficient work. Experience/performance to demonstrate comparable competency.

EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years work experience, 2 of which must be related to the Healthcare field.
