JOB DESCRIPTION

Farm Credit of Central Florida supports rural communities and agriculture in thirteen central Florida counties including Polk, Citrus, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lake, Sumter, Osceola, Orange, Seminole, Volusia, and Brevard. Part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, the association loans funds for agricultural purposes, makes residential loans, originates leases, and sells crop insurance. Over 1,200 borrowers have chosen Farm Credit of Central Florida as their lender of choice. Farm Credit of Central Florida provides over $1 billion in originated loans and other financial services to its member-borrowers.

Farm Credit of Central Florida, a leading agribusiness lender is currently seeking to recruit a qualified Compliance Manager who will ensure that FCCF adheres to legal standards and in-house policies and that our policies, processes, operations, and loan transactions are up to date and follow all relevant legal and internal rules. Reporting directly to the Chief Credit Officer, the position will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as providing guidance on compliance matters. To succeed in this role, you should be a dependable professional who is well-versed in legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices. Additionally, the ideal candidate is a professional of high ethical standards and works diligently complete their duties keeping in mind the objectives of the business.

Specifically, this role will:

  • Draft, modify and implement FCCF policies
  • Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues
  • Evaluate business activities to asses compliance risk
  • Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training
  • Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
  • Prepare reports for Senior Management, and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
  • Issue timely and accurate guidance to staff related to changes to internal policies/procedures, or regulatory changes
  • Provides support to Standards of Conduct Officer
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in compliance
  • Requires BS/BA in law, finance, business administration or a related field preferred
  • Prior experience working on financial transactions within a law firm a plus
  • Financially literate with understanding of finance and internal controls
  • Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g., AML, ECOA, FCRA, TILA)
  • Integrity and professional ethics
  • Teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal guidance on multiple concurrent tasks
