Continuing Medical Education Director
Roswell Park Cancer Institute
First Shift (United States of America)
Provides overall direction and supervision of the organization's Continuing Medical Education (CME) function; establishes learning opportunities for physician CME activities using computer-based training and technologies; manages database system to track all facets of conference planning certified by ACCME accreditation; plans meetings; supervises employees.
Starting salary for this position is $63,323 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Education and Experience
Master's degree in an appropriate field and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in the development, organization and/or delivery of staff training programs in a hospital or academic and research medical center including eighteen (18) months experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity.
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
The preferred candidate will have experience with ACCME accreditiaont and standards, experience planning, delivering and assessing CME programs, and the ability to communicate with a variety of stake holders through verbal and written means. In addition they will have prior project management and time management and efficiency with leading and organizing meetings and workshops. They will also be excellent at multitasking and prioritizing, resourceful and effective at problem solving and communication along with effective at committee engagement, recruitment and retention.
