The Rapid Continuous Improvement (Lean) Engineer will partner with the plant's leadership team to improve plant performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES Work with leadership to identify key projects and opportunities to achieve plant and company improvement goals and objectives
Lead and coordinate continuous improvement projects from concept to completion
Organize and facilitate kaizen events with small teams to help achieve identified goals and objectives
Follow up with project task owners to ensure progress and achievement of expected measured results
Communicate regularly with leadership on projects and kaizen activities and the achievement of expected results
Provide training for associates on continuous improvement methods and concepts
Encourage and recognize associate participation in team and individual continuous improvement activities
Communicate and collaborate regularly with other Snap-on plants to leverage best practices
Qualifications REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years' experience using lean manufacturing methods (standardized work, kaizen, 5S, TPM, VSM, SMED, kanban, RCPS, etc) with demonstrated success
Manufacturing experience in a metal machining environment preferred
Possess strong project management skills
Working knowledge of 3D Modeling/design
Ability to train and motivate others how to use lean manufacturing methods
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
Strong team leadership skills with ability to facilitate productive meetings
Strong analytical and technical skills
Highly hands-on with mechanical aptitude
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access
Experience with AutoCad
