Control Technician is responsible for the daily operations of the installing and programming of HVAC and security equipment, provide services related to installation, operation and maintenance of security cameras and badge access system, access control and Johnson Control Metasys. Diagnoses problems and troubleshoots. Performs preventative maintenance, repairs and orders parts and supplies.

Essential Job Functions

•Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic's mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.
•Assists and supports Facility Services Leadership in coordinating the day-to-day operational needs and prioritizes work orders and preventive maintenance schedules to meet daily demands to insure timely completion of work. Provides oversight for quality and efficiency of work through preventive maintenance, work order, and "Q" follow Up and Inspections.
•Provides first line support to the maintenance staff, assisting with professional and technical job related issues, resolution of problems, issues or concerns that may arise from questions received from the staff while focusing on work quality and efficiency. Responsible for timely response to staff requests for assistance due to increased or high volumes.
•Provides mentoring and technical assistance to Maintenance Staff, Electrical Installers and System Designers. Ensures that delegated tasks are done accurately and on-time.
•Provides work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers and administration as necessary.
•Validates complete system functionality and resolves issues with subcontractors and others to ensure proper operation.
•Participates in the selection, budget and delivery schedule of material to be procured for the projects assigned.
•Secures pricing and availability form outside vendors and suppliers, mechanical and electrical subcontractors including scope, terms and conditions. May request several bids in pricing process.
•Develops project plans and coordinates the required resources to ensure timely and cost effective installation and completion of assigned projects.
•Member of the emergency response and disaster team.
•Assists in ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
•Performs other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
