Corrosion Control Crew Lead

Survey Technicians are expected to travel 50-60% of the year, mostly within the U.S.

We are seeking an experienced Corrosion Control Crew Lead Must have a valid Driver's License Extreme flexibility pertaining to project scheduling Ability to handle field survey equipment, troubleshooting, record keeping skills Perform Close Interval Survey on transmission and distribution pipelines Learn to operate pipe locator device and achieve Veriforce and OQSG OQ certifications Pipeline inspections.

  • Survey Crews are typically 3-person Teams
  • A minimum of 1-year experience as an Indirect Tech/Survey Tech Lead
  • A minimum of 1-year experience managing a crew
  • Performs appropriate basic corrosion surveys such as Pipe-to-Soil Potential Survey, CIS, DCVG/ACVG, and PCM.
  • Performs other field activities such as reading corrosion test stations and rectifiers for compliance, collecting soil samples and soil resistivity data.
  • Performs bell-hole inspection Performs underground utility locating and marking.
  • Performs troubleshooting of cathodic protection systems and minor repairs.
  • Uses written and oral communication skills to prepare reports and correspondences when necessary.
  • Works independently with a high level of detail and minimal supervision.
  • Document work performed according to the company's documentation standards.
  • May be required to work after typical hours as project requirements and company needs dictate.
  • Develops and maintains positive customer and client relationships to foster repeat business.
  • Updates and maintains body of knowledge related to training, degree or job responsibilities.
  • Completes assigned work on time and within budget.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.
