Description - External

Under general supervision of Operations Manager, incumbent is responsible for operating a cash register to compute and record items purchased by customers in the General Store. Provides general retail support and customer service. Opens and closes the store.

Responsible for cash in own register. Runs registers. Accept monies and returns correct change. Cashes-out at end of shift to ensure registers drawer balances with tape amount. Provides quick, accurate and complete transactions. Counts and balances daily sales receipts. Processes credit card transactions. Opens and closes store.

Greets customers and responds to inquiries. Maintains courteous service to costomers at all times. Handles phone and online web orders and ships order to customers.

Assists with store upkeep and recovery: sorting cards and magazines, stocking shelves, routine dusting, transporting, lifting and unpacking of boxes. Wraps, mails and delivers purchases for customers.

Assists with annual inventory.

Check in and marks merchandise that is delivered directly to selling floor e.g., cnady and basics.

Facilitate transfers between LVC retail shops.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - External

One year retail experience with cash handling.

High school diploma or equivalency.

Must be able to speak, read and write English.

Ability to work in fast-paced, stressful environment.

Must be able to stand through entire shift.

Type 30wmp

Lift up to 10 pounds.

Flexible, particularly to meet scheduling needs.

Dependable.

PC based cash register skills.

High level of customer service and a positive sales approach.

Accuracy in making change, ringing and balancing cash drawers at end of shift.

Able to refer problems as neccessary.

Take initiative.

Comply with security procedures.

Observe peak blackout week prior to : Christmas, Valentine's, Easter, Mother's Day, Ether Day and during special sales.
