We are looking for a Cyber Security Specialist. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Arlington, VA. The primary language of work is English.

Location: Hybrid, based in Arlington, VA with occasional travel to Canada.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:
o Security Management

o Security Risk Assessment

o Systems Security Architecture

o Security Design Principles - Network, IT, OT, and ICT Security Design

o Security testing and validation (i.e., VA, Pen Test, FAT etc.)

o Quality Management - Developing Security Test Plans and Procedures

o Application of ITSEC best practices
  • Problem solving skills and ability to lead and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications Include:
  • Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related Cybersecurity / technical domain.
  • DoD 8140/8570 approved certification, ex. Security+, GSEC, GCIH, CEH Experience in the following areas:
o Systems Engineering

o Security Assessment and Authorization Experience (specifically ITSG-33)

o Generation of artefacts for Authority to Operate (ATO)

o Developing Security Test Plans and Procedures

o Physical Protection System (PPS) Design (i.e., CCVE, Access Control etc.)

o Use of engineering related tools (i.e., DOORS, CAMEO)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and advice with respect to the translation of stakeholder needs and system requirements into technical security mechanisms and system architecture
  • Develop security test plans and procedures for OT, IT, ICS and Network security test, evaluation, and commissioning activities
  • Assist in technical risk assessments as part of design and the assessment of vulnerabilities
  • Assist in the identification, design, coordination, conduct, monitoring, and assessment of various forms of technical testing (i.e., Factory Acceptance Testing, Final Acceptance Testing)
  • Evaluate penetration tests, red team testing and similar forms of testing (i.e., Vulnerability Assessment) for OT, IT, and ICT systems
  • Analysis and assessment of various forms of network infrastructure based on the NIST Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework
