What You'll Do

  • Data Developer :Job Description
    Roles and Responsibilities:

    1. Gathersrequirements from stakeholders, designs the solution aligned to requirements,platform(s) architecture and infrastructure.

    2. Develops,tests, maintains, and enhances data stores (tables, views, files) fitting to designand architecture of data solution.

    3. Develops,tests, maintains, and enhances one or more stages of data mapping,transformation, fusion, aggregation and/or reduction solutions to deliveractionable datasets to stakeholders.

    4. Develops,tests, and maintains data quality checks.

    5. Investigatesperformance issues, identifies optimization measures and implements themincluding but not limited to coalescing fragmented data, optimizing resourceusage, re-partitioning, indexing, bucketing/distribution.

    6. Overseespreparation of QA datasets.
    Skills and Experience:
    MUST-HAVE - 2 Years

    • Experience in one or more of Java, Python, .Netsoftware engineering.

    • Data modeling for transactional workloads and/or Data modeling for analytical workloads

    • SQL development and tuning for a transactionalworkload RDBMS and/or SQL development and tuning for a data warehouse
    NICE-TO-HAVE

    • Big Data Storage :Hadoop ecosystem, Row andColumnar oriented storage formats, Partitioning, Bucketing and relatedstrategies for scalability and performance.

    • Big Data Processing/Compute :MapReduce, YARN,Mesos or other Cluster Manager, Spark batch, Spark micro-batch/streaming, SparkSQL, NoSQL data modeling, NoSQL development and tuning, MapReduce/SparkAnalytics, Cloud big data storage (S3, Azure, ....), Cloud big data compute (EMR,Azure, ....)

    • Messaging Systems :JMS compliant platforms,Kafka

    • Automated Testing :Big data unit test frameworks

    • Understanding of analytics development lifecycleis highly desired.
Minimum education qualification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field.
