BGIS is currently seeking a Director, Critical Environments Professional Services to join the team, Remote, US.

Business Development

  • Provides oversight and managerial direction for Critical Environment professional services.
  • Oversee project budgets.
  • Work closely with BGIS Business Development to develop and foster the sales of projects
  • Manage monthly financial cycle activities.
  • Communicate current project conditions to BGIS Management.
Foster Client Relationships
  • Maintain and expand customer relationships.
  • Oversee vendor relationships.
  • Understand client expectations and address client needs.
Team Management
  • Supervise Critical Environment Professional Services team members.
  • Establish and communicate performance standards.
  • Recruit and hire new staff.
  • Review and document individual performance.
  • Deliver regular individual performance feedback.
  • Support individual professional development and career planning.
Coordinate Project/Consulting Operations
  • Ensure consistent collection, documentation, and reporting of data center metrics.
  • Ensure resolution of site/facility related technical and contractual issues.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms.
  • Create resource plans.
  • Monitor data center projects and consulting.
  • Manage special technology projects.
  • Communicate with other BGIS Departments.
Maintain Project Standards
  • Ensure that data center project/consulting standards and processes are defined, communicated, and followed.
  • Ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Ensure communication of and compliance with BGIS safety philosophy, policy, and procedures.
  • Ensure that business standards and processes are defined and communicated.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES
  • Must have demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of a Director, CEPS.
  • BA/BS in Business Management, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in data center, facility management, and project management required.
  • Journey or Master level trade status (Electrical or Mechanical) preferred.
  • Trade Certification or state license in Electrical or Mechanical (HVAC) preferred.
  • Professional affiliations preferred (24x7, IFMA, and Data Center Pulse).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Current knowledge of facility systems, procedures, and processes.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and life safety monitoring and control systems typically used in critical environments.
  • Ability to read blueprints/CAD drawings.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office; reimbursed.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays, overtime as required, and be \"on call\" on a 24 x 7 basis for emergency situations.

The salary range for this exempt position in the US is $120k-145k

A candidate's salary offer is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, certifications, licenses, and location.
