Director of Luxury Travel

This person will spearhead our brand's ascent within the travel industry. This thrilling role is custom-tailored for individuals who harbor a passion for luxury travel experiences and excel at nurturing fruitful relationships with key partners. As the Director of Luxury Sales, you'll wield significant influence, shaping our company's triumphs by overseeing our luxury travel partners and pivotal accounts. Responsibilities:

  • Sales Development:
    • Manage and cultivate assigned sales territory and accounts.
    • Implement strategic initiatives to maximize growth.
    • Achieve revenue targets for the territory, channels, and destinations.
  • Territory Management:
    • Foster enduring relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
    • Identify and nurture new opportunities within the luxury consortia segment.
    • Secure more than our fair share of business from shared accounts with competitors.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Maintain an annual sales plan for the assigned territory, accounts, and business channels.
    • Leverage market insights to inform strategic decisions and stay ahead of industry trends.
    • Monitor competitor activities to identify potential opportunities.
  • Customer Engagement:
    • Work independently and strategically to drive luxury sales.
    • Develop sales call patterns and engagement strategies for maximum territory impact.
    • Collaborate with Field Sales and BDMs to implement ground-level strategies.
  • Client Servicing:
    • Understand client needs and provide relevant solutions.
    • Ensure timely engagement by coordinating with internal departments.
    • Communicate effectively to create mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Reporting:
    • Maintain and update account profiles, ensuring accurate database management.
    • Regularly update sales activities and account development progress.
    • Provide detailed information relevant to new business opportunities

    Qualifications:
    • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated expertise in luxury sales within the travel industry, with a strong network of contacts and a history of exceeding sales targets.
    • Territory Management: Experience managing complex and diverse territories and implementing strategies to drive sales growth.
    • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop trust and rapport with customers.
    • Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality or Communications preferred or equivalent work experience.
    • Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools (Tableau preferred).
    • Willingness to travel as required to meet clients, attend industry events, and explore new market opportunities.
