  • Represents Cellular Immunotherapy program operations as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, strategic partners, and vendors.
  • Perform optimal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution between internal and external parties.
  • Translate scientific and clinical activities into financial projections and budgets.
  • Provide direction and align communications for multi-disciplinary team optimization.
  • This position is highly strategic and requires high levels of collaboration for success and will require consistent interface with colleagues, affiliates, sponsored programs, and partners.
  • Direct and implement initiatives with sound decision-making and expert understanding of internal and external policy governance.
  • Leads initiatives for process, technology or other continuous improvement to achieve cost-reduction, time-savings, efficiency, quality and/or other business objectives.
  • Support business development and alliance management activities for commercial and/or research collaborations.
  • Create and scale up the infrastructure for the Cellular Immunotherapy Program
  • Represent and support the program's strategic initiatives in collaboration with MGB Innovation and CGTI
  • Responsible for ensuring progress of Business Operations against annual and monthly planned objectives.
  • Create SOP's for lab operational excellence.
  • Drive collaboration between the units CTTL, CCPO, MGB Research Management, Innovation, etc., that collectively support the Program at various stages of product development and intervention.
  • Track and monitor milestones for protocol development, manufacturing, and trial activity by collating information from Clinical Program Manager, Data Managers, PCORP and CTTL for real-time access to data.
  • Work with Cellular Immunotherapy Program, CGTI senior leadership of Cancer Center and MGB in developing and promoting the Cellular Immunotherapy Program's vision, values, aims and strategic objectives.
  • Optimizes Cellular Immunotherapy research organization to positively impact speed, quality, and costs.
  • Be the knowledge expert of the Maus and Immune Monitoring Laboratory's pre- and post-award sponsored research activities including grant preparations and submissions, contract and term sheet reviews with MGB legal and reporting and award closeouts.
  • Record new invention disclosures, obtain additional information from inventors and conduct due diligence to verify funding sources.
  • Tracking sponsor rights, options and licenses, as it pertains to Intellectual Property.
  • Track and manage licensing revenue.
  • Execute recruitment and retention of budgeted hires and existing staff for CIP and manage the PeopleSoft Tree or Workday/UKG.
  • Direct management of programmatic and operational team members. Up to 8 FTEs.


Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare/Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of related work experience in research administration.
  • Requires strong knowledge of grants management, budget preparation and financial management principles.
  • Requires a detailed knowledge of laws and regulations governing the conduct of research.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
  • Should demonstrate big picture thinking while balancing with appropriate attention to detail, confidentiality, accuracy, and sound judgment in delivering outcomes.
