Imperial Dade, leading national distributor, has a job open in Franklin, MA. The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the efficient and timely delivery of customer orders using our Roadnet and Safe Drive software packages to generate the best possible routing solutions. The Dispatcher will also be assisting in monitoring daily route performance and assisting Operations in completing immediate route needs and adjustments. Reporting to the Transportation Manager and working Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm.

The responsibilities of the Dispatch Coordinator are:

  • Field questions about delivery times and supply answers
  • Contact drivers with questions about deliveries they are making when needed
  • Answer all emails in a timely fashion
  • Contact drivers when problems are reported during deliveries to have them corrected
  • Facilitating the booking, picking, preparation and loading of common carrier orders
  • Monitor the Pickup of product(s) outside vendors
  • Assist with driver check in (Product returns and checking the driver's paperwork for accuracy)
  • Assist in gathering data from different platforms for reporting and analysis
  • Furnish information to the routers, such as headcounts

The Qualifications of the Dispatch Coordinator are:

  • Experience with drivers making deliveries in the New England area
  • Knowledge of overtime requirements
  • Knowledge of straight trucks, tractor trailers, Non-CDL trucks, and material handling equipment
  • A proven track record in service, attendance, and reliability
  • Excellent communication skills for interactions with drivers, customers, customer service, sales, and company staff
  • Must be organized and be able to multitask while problem solve
  • Able to work in work in a fast paced, detail orientated environment
  • Strong computer skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel experience (pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
