Under the direction of the supervisor, either directly or through the lead person, this individual is responsible for the set-up and operation of various types of roll-thread equipment at optimum production and quality levels. Specific responsibilities include the selection and changing of roll thread dies, speed adjustment and die compensation, as well as the selection and proper set-up of stops, rails, fingers and thread gauges. This individual must also train new roll thread operators, as required, and be able to set-up check and direct the use of inspection devices such as roll comparators and ring gauges.

This person must also report all maintenance requirement on a timely basis to the supervisor or lead person, as well as maintain good production records, assisting operators when required, and the segregation, identification and transportation of parts within the roll thread area. Other responsibilities include keeping the work area clean and safe, filling in on any job in the department as required and performing any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor.
