Job Summary/Basic Function:
Boise State Career Services is part of the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. We are a dynamic team of career services professionals who are committed to providing outstanding service to all our stakeholders - students, alumni, faculty, staff, employers, and the community. Our mission is student success through career education and professional connections that support them in achieving their post-graduation goals. The Employer Engagement Specialist will have the opportunity to positively impact Career Service's ability to provide students with career resources and professional connections. We are seeking candidates who possess a strong service mindset and interpersonal skills to effectively support and communicate with employers, students, and colleagues across campus along with the ability and enthusiasm to manage and continuously improve events and the systems and platforms connected with employer relations.
Level Scope:
Recognized subject matter expert who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field with limited oversight from managers. Independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function; requires deep job knowledge of area typically obtained through higher education combined with experience. Manages large projects or processes and problems faced are difficult and often complex; analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope and determines solutions. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy. Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures.
