Engineer-Equipment - III

Location: Medford, MA
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Telecom Equipment Engineer in Medford, MA.

This role can also be based in Wallingford, CT.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Equipment Engineering for Macro and Small Cell Modification and Transport projects.
  
  
• Work with all internal (RF, Real Estate, Construction, Ops, etc.) groups to ensure that you understand the design and timing of the request - push back when necessary to clarify the scope of work.
  
• Coordinate with Vendors and get optimal pricing through bidding out jobs
  
• Create/Update MOPs, Visio floor plans and guidelines
  
  
• Coordinate delivery times when ordering the equipment/material needed for the project(s) and that the equipment/material is released in a timely manner.
  
• Monitor status of projects, provide updates when necessary and escalate issues when appropriate.
  
• Attain close-out packages from vendors with associated pictures & required documents to ensure work quality & standards.
  
• Follow up with vendors to ensure equipment and services are properly completed and invoices are submitted.
  
• Attend site walks and do spot audits to verify quality work.
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in telecom engineering
• Technical and project background in 4/5G wireless and transport
• Experience working with equipment Vendors and Service Providers
• Strong interface skills with internal and external project teams.
  
• Experience with purchase orders, material tracking, site walks, closeouts, etc.
• Tools experience with Visio, AutoCAD, MS Office, ERP system(s).
