Ardurra is seeking an Entry Level Engineer (EIT) to join our staff in Augusta, GA.

Primary Function

Collaborate with project managers and other engineers in the detailed phases of design engineering work for water / wastewater / storm water projects, including treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, tanks and other water / wastewater / storm water storage and conveyance systems, under supervision of a Professional Engineer. The incumbent must be knowledgeable of applicable engineering theory, methods and practices with the ability to apply sound engineering principles to the solution of routine technical problems.

Primary Duties

Performs moderate analysis and design tasks involving design calculations and sketches of plans

Performs water / wastewater / storm water modeling

Prepares portions of project documents and edits specifications

Performs research and investigations

Reviews environmental documents

Participates at various meetings with city, county and other governmental and private entities

Performs duties on small projects or portions of larger projects at the same time

Assist in prioritizing and scheduling projects, determining work requirements to complete project plans and coordinates scheduling to accommodate projects already underway

Reviews construction site to monitor progress

Opportunity to develop broad knowledge and skills in a specific practice area

Performs other job responsibilities as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

• Entry Level
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Environmental, or other related Engineering from an ABET accredited college

• An understanding of water treatment / distribution, wastewater collection / treatment and storm water / water resources principles and state regulations is preferred
• CADD and/or GIS knowledge and experience is a plus
• Ability to research and utilize available resources
• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel and Word
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, with a demonstrated capability to meet project budget and deadline
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organization skills, and work ethic
• The initiative and ability to take on new projects and other challenges regularly
• Candidate must be self-motivated, able to lead or assist a project team to completion of multiple projects simultaneously
