The College of Nursing has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Enrollment Advisor/Senior Enrollment Advisor position.

Position Emphasis:

The CU College of Nursing is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Enrollment Advisor/Senior Enrollment Advisor. This position will advise and counsel students related to the CU College of Nursing admission, academic requirements and more. This position would also support and maintain positive relationships with college and university departments involved in recruiting and admissions, with other CU schools and colleges, and with external institutions such as community colleges, universities, hospital administrators, alumni, employers, and other prospective student pipelines.

This position will require occasionally travel and/or attendance at evening and/or weekend events.

Examples of Work Performed:
    Advise and counsel students by explaining College of Nursing policies and procedures for admission, academic requirements, credit acceptance for all academic programs, academic program offerings, and professional curriculum and refer to Program Directors as needed. Suggest alternatives for consideration based on individual educational preparation and career goals. Serve as an advisor for student government organizations and activities. Act as liaison between the College and student groups. Represent the College of Nursing at selected career fairs, high school/college programs, and campus open houses. Actively recruit and inform students of opportunities facing the nursing profession and how the College of Nursing can help them to achieve their educational and career goals. Oversee open house informational sessions for potential applicants to all programs and admitted-student orientation programs. Assist in the development of recruitment strategies, especially for underrepresented and underserved populations, and participate in targeted and broad recruitment activities. Recruitment strategies must be linked to the strategic goals of the College and Student Affairs office and the mission to improve and strengthen student diversity. Recommend revisions and assist and with the development of brochures, promotional materials, advertising, and other recruitment and marketing materials. These recommendations and revisions will be based on experience with student inquiries and understanding of what information is/is not needed in these materials to most effectively meet prospective and current student needs. Visit designated campuses on a periodic basis to advise and counsel prospective students and faculty regarding academic degree requirements of the nursing programs. Update faculty at pipeline institutions about curricular, prerequisite, admissions cycle or relevant changes so they can inform prospective students. Build relationships with community organizations, educational entities, and Nursing related professional organizations that will provide the pathway for College of Nursing to develop potential educational partnerships and pipeline programs. Assist with marketing, recruiting, and diversity initiatives, including the development and maintenance of a resource list for student services. Coordinate and oversee activities and events for prospective and current students, which include logistical support for information sessions, receptions, special events and other student-related functions. Manage event logistics such as development of the agenda, confirmation of speakers, written notification to students and faculty, scheduling facilities and media equipment, coordination of food and caterer needs, preparation of materials used in the event, etc. Maintain a database of attendees, review sheets and required student forms. Advise current students. Refer to CON parties and campus resources as necessary. Maintain student records and track student progression. Ensure all degree requirements are met at the time of graduation. Work closely with faculty and administration to identify issues and solutions for students.

Minimum Qualifications:
    Entry Professional A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
    Professional A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. One year of professional level experience with supporting, recruiting, and advising students at the undergraduate, professional, and/or graduate levels.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
    Senior Professional A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Two years of professional level experience with supporting, recruiting, and advising students at the undergraduate, professional, and/or graduate levels.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Conditions of Employment:
    Must be willing to work nights and weekends depending on admissions and student affair needs and schedules.

Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience with event organization and planning. Experience in working with students, faculty and other campus departments.

Competencies:
    Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion. Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Outstanding customer service skills.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at:
    Entry level: $33,993.66 to $45,552 Intermediate level: $36,993to $49,571 Senior level: $39,993 to $53,590

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
