Position Summary

The EA Analyst provides ongoing project administration in support of the Environmental Affairs function. This role is responsible for reviewing consultant cost proposals and invoices for consistency with contract rates; generating purchase orders; processing invoices and tracking project budgets. The ideal incumbent will utilize various internal reporting mechanisms to monitor and reconcile payments monthly and will work closely with HQ Finance and Shared Services to ensure payments are applied to appropriate internal projects for accurate financial reporting.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily and ongoing preparation of purchase orders, invoice processing and associated budget recordkeeping for all Environmental Affairs matters
  • Responsibility for preparing payment information for each environmental matter in advance of quarterly project estimate reviews, updates and submissions to HQ Finance
  • Request input from EA Project Team and consultants/counsel, as needed, to consolidate reporting to HQ Finance
  • Tracks charges and prepares invoices for projects with cost reimbursements and/or other recovery options
  • Annually updates payment information on each detailed project estimate spreadsheet
  • Renews annual hazardous waste certification to allow for generation, transport and disposal of hazardous wastes
  • Tracks hazardous waste manifests to compare with agency records for annual fee assessments and payment
  • Maintains records and updates annual business certification to local tax assessor
  • Has responsibility for ITT EA document and data management, including electronic and hard copy files
  • Completes special projects in support of the EA Director and EA Project staff
Position Requirements

Minimum professional and educational background desired (include years of experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Five years accounting related topics desired
