Pharmaron (Exton) Lab Services, a preclinical Contract Research Organization located in Exton, Pennsylvania, is seeking a candidate for an Equipment and Materials Coordinator to add to our growing organization. The Equipment and Materials Coordinator is responsible for receiving raw materials, client samples and reference standards as well as perform in house equipment and facility maintenance. This role will also interact with equipment vendors in support of onsite equipment qualification, calibration and maintenance activities.

Required Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1+ years of experience working in the biotechnology or medical device industry
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of facility systems preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
Responsibilities:
  • Receive GMP, GLP and R&D grade reagents and consumables into associated Raw Material Programs/Systems
  • Receive client samples and reference standards
  • Maintain correct levels of raw materials to ensure continuous lab operation
  • Perform quarterly inventory counts of raw materials and reference standards
  • Ensure Life Cycle Asset Maintenance by facilitating all critical equipment calibration and preventative maintenance is completed per schedule
  • Assure all laboratory equipment is in proper operating condition and is appropriately labeled with current status
  • Coordinate outside vendor visits for all vendor performed calibration and maintenance activities
  • Maintain the Master Equipment List
  • Manage and maintain equipment history files and ensure proper documentation of all work performed on equipment or systems, as applicable
  • Maintain correct levels of spare parts for critical equipment to support department activities
  • Provide support and troubleshooting of equipment necessary to meet all customer requirements including identifying issues or causes of failures
  • Participate in Client and Regulatory inspections, as required
  • Provide technical assistance to the maintenance and utility departments
  • Support management needs in other related duties, as required
