Job Summary

Department Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the equipment needs for football and responsible for their coordination of equipment, apparel and laundry operations. This employee must communicate with staff in assigned sports for roster, equipment needs and schedule. The position assists with day to day responsibilities of the equipment room and maintaining computerized inventory system.
  • Coordinate equipment, apparel, and laundry operation for football team in accordance to workout, practice and competition needs.
  • Organize locker room for pre-game dress; pack equipment and apparel for road games.
General Responsibilities
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the shipping/receiving area for the football equipment room, which include shipping, receiving, logging, storing, and delivering packages, equipment.
  • Monitors the asset lifecycle and coordinates directly with staff to ensure appropriate disposition of football equipment.
  • Inputs delivery information into department's receiving tracking software and scan/attach packing slips to purchase orders.
  • Receives, tags, stores, retires, scans for the annual physical inventory.
  • Provides process improvement suggestions for the department.
  • Tracks equipment loan and return documentation is completed in a timely manner and within department guidelines. Keep the storage room clean and in good working order.

EDUCATION

Required
  • High school diploma or GED
WORK EXPERIENCE

Required
  • 2 years in related field

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate. It involves remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time as well as moving around the work environment. The position requires moving and assembling objects and placing objects on high and low shelving units and storage racks. The role requires the ability to detect details of objects and the ability to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
