EXEC ASSISTANT A

Duties: Provides high level of administrative support on a broad range of varied and non-standard duties to the Chair of the Department of Physiology. Manages and coordinates the chair's participation in internal and external events. Manages, coordinates, and operationalizes the chair's complex schedule and multiple departmental calendars. Develops and maintains the department website. Manages the faculty recruitment process. Organizes meetings, coordinates agendas, and disseminates information. Reviews and drafts correspondence for the Chair. Represents Chair to University, School of Medicine, Department, and other external offices. Manages projects and follows through on details as required. Collects, organizes, and compiles information as needed.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and 5 years to 7 years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably in higher education, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Excellent computer skills including proficiency with website development and maintenance. Demonstrated skill and ability in addressing complex tasks and working with confidential material. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and be productive under pressure. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, computer proficiency, and attention to detail.
